Hello Johan. Thank you for reading. Yes, flavour and pouch bans are regulatory risks that my write-up didn't address.

My view is that nicotine pouch bans are an incorrect, knee-jerk reaction from legislators. The reality is that nicotine pouches are vastly less harmful than cigarettes. I can understand governments not wanting non-smokers to take up nicotine products, but preventing current smokers from transitioning to reduced-risk products will literally result in losses of life.

My hope is that as these products become more popular and more well understood, governments will regulate them in a more sensible way, rather than banning them. There should be governmental and societal support for their adoption, within reason, once their enhanced safety profile is better understood.
